Translation & Localization

Academic/Scholarly Translation

We translate scholarly texts between Turkish, English, and other languages. To do the job right, the linguist must be good at academic writing as well as be familiar with the terminology and subject matter of the text they’re translating. We work with theses, scientific papers, abstracts, surveys/scales, and research projects, and try and communicate your message as clearly and succinctly as possible. After all, your work will represent you internationally! We only work with linguists who specialize in your particular field(s) of expertise. After the translation is complete, we then double check it to make sure that everything is precise. We also run it through our team of editors to polish the final product before delivering it to you.

Medical Translation

We translate medical and pharmaceutical texts between Turkish, English, and other languages. Collaborating closely with patients, physicians, hospitals, healthcare providers, pharmacies/chemists, and drug companies, we mainly work with reports (clinical, lab work), brochures, licenses, package inserts (prospectuses), and software, as well as licenses and patents for medical products.

Commercial Translation

We translate business contracts & documents, trade registry gazettes, general assembly resolutions, and letters of credit between Turkish, English, and other languages for anyone engaged in international commercial activities. We particularly go out of our way to make sure that the end product is as complete and correct (terminologically) as possible.

Technical Translation

We translate technical writing – namely technical specifications, user manuals, quality brochures, reports, and patents – between Turkish, English, and other languages. We collaborate with clients hailing from a myriad of different industries and sectors: automotive, optics, seafaring, hydraulics, construction, telecommunication, electricity, electronics, energy, water treatment, security systems, computer technology, and textiles (just to name a few). Our linguists also happen to be engineers, scholars, and/or subject matter experts in the relevant fields they’re translating. They’re fluent in the terminology, and they keep their knowledge up to date as well.

Literary Translation
We translate and adapt creative prose, including plays, screen plays, novels, short stories, children’s books, and poetry. As such, our team of literary translators are native speakers as well as creative writers in their own right.

Marketing Translation (Transcreation)
We transcreate all forms of marketing copy, including ads, catalogues, and brochures, between Turkish and English. As such, we only work with linguists who are native speakers and know the target culture in order to best market you alongside your business and products either here in Turkey or abroad.

Website Localization

We localize personal and corporate websites between Turkish, English, and other languages. As such, we only work with linguists who are native speakers of the target language/dialect and understand the target culture. Doing so allows us to help you gain an edge over your rivals, and effectively market your products, services, and even ideas to potential international customers over the Internet – the world’s largest billboard and information hub!

When the time comes to update your web content, we’ll be more than happy to help update our translations as well.

Legal Translation

We translate a wide range of legal documents, such as court decisions, edicts, written proceedings, proxies/Powers of attorney, and communiqué (circulars) between Turkish, English, and other languages. As such, we only work with highly specialized linguists who are intimately familiar with the legal system of Turkey.

Non-Turkish Translation

We also provide translation in language pairs where Turkish is neither a source nor a target language. In such cases, we only work with linguists who both are fluent or native speakers of the languages they work between (beyond Turkish) and who are familiar with the cultures of the countries in which they’re spoken. This is done in order to avoid the pitfalls of so-called “Turkish retour” (i.e. translating through two translators, whereby Turkish is a base/bridge language), and ensure a high quality end product.
